Perhaps rather ignorantly of me, I'd rather have Beckford than Jelavic, purely because I don't trust him coming from the SPL after our recent signings from north of the border.

I have to say the financial implications of having both would lead me to rather nervous about signing both, although it would be pretty damned close to a Premiership standard strike force.

Looks to have a decent finish with both head and feet, but don't think he would have had most of those chances against championship defences, so hard to judge.

Hooper got 19 in Scunny's championship season in a shit team. Commons didn't do bad either.

So? Jelavic only cost Rangers £4m. I'm not sure of your point? You argued that Commons and Hooper showed the standard of the SPL, they scored for fun in the Championship so surely the standard is the same?
