I had assumed we'd see a reduction in squad size with some big earners shipping out and academy players stepping up, but to say that nobody will be coming in is ridiculous. Unless it's a "message" to other clubs that we're no longer throwing money around.

Either way, I bet we sign at least one player by the start of the season, and probably more.

I agree - i can't see it being literally true - but it does confirm my suspicion that Mandaric would not be keen to throw good money after bad.

The timing of this statement is oh so cynical though - after the finish of the discounted sales period.

The club doesn't think most of the the supporters are stupid - it knows it and reles on that fact.

Lets also be fair to MM. Most neutrals would think that our squad should have stayed up and would have with a better manager. It is a fair bet therefore that with better leadership we could lose some high earners and still come back up.

If it was my money literally, I'd get a decent manager in and then see how the season starts.

I agree on the whole ,apart from the fact any manager comig in would want to bring in 2-4 of his own players

We don't need too many new signings, but we need some! Otherwise we're stuck with the same problem as last season, with no wingers... in fact we have even less this season with all the ones we had just being here on loan!

I'm sure we will sign at least 1 or 2... and depending who we keep hold of that could be all we need.

The 'BMs' get plenty of stick on here, but without them or their support the club would probably be in a worst state than it is at the moment.

I suspect most people simply renew because they support the team.
