Babylon, I'm not convinced but the guy who sits next to me looks your spitting image, but a bit older. You go with a younger lad (no jokes!)

Have seen the comparison made to Ryan Smith somewhere, and I'd say that's quite a good one, though I thought Smith was better. Holds onto the ball for too long, has some talent and could be useful as he is young but £1m? No chance, I'd hope RK or whoever would be more careful with the limited money MM gives out.

What concerns me most is the sudden influx of players who are desperate to come/stay here - used to be they couldn't wait to get out/deny wanting to come to us in the papers. Geoff was saying the same thing last week. Now suddenly MM is here and can pay big wages and we're a club lots of middling players want to come to. I don't like it.

I've seen him do nothing in the two games i've seen... oh sorry he did one good ball against cov.

If a Player you get on loan can contribute to gaining you a few points they have done the job you wanted them to and so far Yeates has done that with a goal and a couple of crosses to set up goals. The evidence on Saturday of the alternative means at the moment Yeates should be playing IMO.
But as to having him here on a perminant deal and a million quid, not so sure, lets see what he can prove before the end of the season and who is available in the summer as I am sure there could be better options.

All of the loans players we have (and might get) would not have been playing regular football so it is going to take a few games to get into the pace and find some form.

they ought to put a cap on the wages, else some who come in will be on 2/3/4 x as much as the ones that are already here.

I know... i'm just saying I don't think he has done much. I certainly wouldn't spend any money on him after what I have seen so far.

To be fair we had been after The Horse for a while, but money did not allow and he said at the time of coming here (before MM takeover) that he needed a new challenge and 'lets see where the loan move takes him'.

I do agree that suddenly we would look like a good option, but surely that is a good thing as the amount of players we have a chance of signing would have been increased, all players are only interested in money and I am sure MM is aware of this, he has never spent silly money on players and would not expect him to do so here, but he will spend a damn sight more that we could have a few weeks ago.

I am not concerned that Yeates would like to be here playing rather than at Spurs not playing.
I am concerned that someone, Yeates/Agent/RK/MM thinks he is worth a million pounds!
He might be a really good player in a year or two, but there is little evidence so far, and Ryan Smith had some talent but poor attitude.

We've got some money now but we cant afford to waste £1m on a player like yeates. He's only worth about 250,000 by todays fees.

i agree, hes certainly not worth 1mill. and if kelly paid that he would be a moron as he didnt even think he was better than hughes on sat, that would be like putting a value of over a mill on hughes hahaha
