Bloody hell that brings back memories.

Used to live in one of the houses on Regent Street which backs onto the cricket ground and used to walk to the bottom of the garden and get into the cricket and footy for free.

All down one side of the pitches were huge trees that used to shed literally tons on conkers. I used to sit in the garden and wait for the wind to get up and then walk round filling carrier bags full of them and sell them at school.

The simplicity of youth back then (probably 45 years ago).
