In-form forward Joe Dodoo scored a superb hat-trick as City's Under-18s continued their 100 per cent start to the Premier Academy League season at Norwich City.
Dodoo took his season's tally to five goals in three games with a treble in a seesaw battle at the Canaries' Colney training ground, adding to the double the first-year scholar hit in the opening-day win at Bolton Wanderers.
Norwich had edged in front through Jacob Murphy on the quarter-hour, but Dodoo quickly levelled the scores two minutes later with a fine strike from the edge of the box.
The talented 16-year-old clearly had the bit between his teeth and put the visitors in front just before half-time. Joey Jones, recalled from international duty with Northern Ireland Under-19s, delivered a cross that was headed back by Tom Hopper and Dodoo crashed in a tremendous volley from just inside the box.
Murphy's second of the afternoon put Norwich back on level terms shortly after the interval and the hosts had the chance to retake the lead soon after, but a missed penalty cost them dearly.
Dodoo showed them the way when he completed his hat-trick from the spot on 71 minutes to re-establish a lead the Foxes never relinquished.
City's youngsters had to hold onto their advantage with 10 men in the closing stages, following the dismissal of Louis Tambini shortly after Dodoo's third, but they kept the Canaries at bay to make it three wins from three so far this term.
Academy Director Jon Rudkin said: "It was a good result from a difficult game, especially as Norwich made such a bright start. But it was very pleasing to see how well the boys responded to going behind.
"We grew in confidence after the equaliser and looked in control up to half-time, but conceded a poor goal from our perspective and could have gone behind again had they not missed their penalty.
"We scored ours, but had to show a lot of resilience after Louis received his second yellow card and that closing stage was an education in its own right.
"Credit to the players for sticking at it and seeing the game out. There's plenty for them to learn from the game, but also a lot to be proud about."
