I said in a thread, I think after the Cardiff game, when I was quite drunk that I was still convinced we'd get to the playoffs, but we wouldn't win them.

I still think that. I just don't think we're as good as the other teams up there... and the last 3 games are backing that up, unfortunately.

He said he was aiming for promotion within 2 years so hopefully he can build a squad in the summer and next season we can achieve something.

Agreed. I don't rush to judgements, either when we're winning games or losing. But this run of results means reaching the play-offs would probably need another 8 wins this season, and I can't see that happening.

Shame it seems to have coincided with some tinkering of the team and formation, when we were flying with a settled side.

We're in a good position, as a club, for the first time in a long while and it'd take fool to suggest otherwise. It's just such a disappointment because we were in with a half decent shout. Ricardo was one change too many I feel, whilst it isn't his fault we lost this game I do fear he has been an unwelcome disruption to the team and fans.

Yes it does. Sven's OK but he has slipped up with his selections over the last few weeks. I suspect all but the most gullible (and there's a few on here!) will have been disheartened tonight when they say the team selection.

I may have to find a book to take with me for the Portsmouth game now.

I'm not sure that I would be that bothered. It's his meddling with what had seemed a settled side that has lost us the impetus. I'd be more interested in our eastern overlords' feelings about what has gone on.
