Possibly. Besides which, all of those starters should be more than good enough to win a Championship fixture anywhere. Ze system, innit.I'm all in favour of 2-3 changes per match to keep everyone fresh. But this is very risky.
The gap between the Southampton game and tonight is too big for changes to make sense. The only logic is that the gap to Bristol on Saturday is really short and he must be inclined to make a lot of changes from tonight for that one.
Maybe it's EM realising that the home games are the most difficult at the moment so he's looking to be strong for Saturday and hope for the best tonight?
