Fair comment Sheen Fox. The answer is no because I have been City through and through for probably longer than anyone else on this forum.

I also feel that Bassett got it (unfairly) in the neck in the previous relegation season and I hope he could prove himself this season without us having to call somebody else in.

But the odds are against him doing this. The squad are, by all accounts, demoralised by what has happened (one factor amongst many that our fickle boneheads failed to take into account). And Wilkinson is a dour Yorkshire twat who courts unpopularity amongst players wherever he goes.

Only an idiot would pretend that we are better off now than we were a couple of days ago.

Dr Jackson, if you devised such an experiment in your Phd thesis I would have ripped you apart at your viva. But at least there is a modicum of science in your approach. Subject to one or two amendments I agree to your challenge.

(1) No. Form over last 5 games has been promotion form but it would be unfair of me to suggest that only recent form counted.
(2) Yes, but I will only accept outright promotion (play offs included).
(3) No, entirely subjective - curiously, we always seem to play attractive football when we win.

I will quit this forum if I lose on these terms. All fickle boneheads to do the same if they lose. If we are relegated, fickle boneheads will also have to make public apologies on this forum.
