Nope, never had a problem in 2 years. Fast, reliable connection.
I doubt that's of any use to you, but just thought I'd show off.

Ditto.
Sometimes when I leave my computer on for half an hour or so without touching it the internet disconnects itself and when I click on it it just says unavailable to connect.
I then have to shut down and take out the plugs and wait for 10 minutes or so before it'll work.
That's the only problem I have.
I doubt that's an NTL problem, more likely your PC.
There's a reg key you can edit to turn off auto disconnect when idle, *I'll see if I can find it.
could be a bit of a delay finding it for you pds, am under pressure at the mo covering feckin kids school books!
Thinking about it, is it a USB modem that you have?
If it is try Start> control panel > System > hardware > device manage
In device manager expand USB to locate any USB root hubs you have listed ( could be a few) double click each one you have & go to power management & uncheck "Allow windows to turn off this device"
I kept trying to reply to this yesterday but with no joy.Probably best considering what i called the person who moved it :icon_lol:
The problem is i keep getting cable unplugged message although its still online and then i get a limited or no availablity message then i lose the internet. If it is my ethernet cable then why does it work sometimes an not others. I didnt work last night and its working now without me touching it
I was considering getting a usb lead from my pc to my ntl box but ntl reckon that would be even slower
I think its your modem Baco, phone em and get an new one!

Or it could be your router if you have one. My router goes to limited or no connectivity quite often and to solve the problem you just have to reboot it (turn it off then back on again).
That has hapenened to me today.I rang AOL and was advised to turn off the Router when I'm not using it
I did actually reboot it several times to no avail. duzza if its the modem why is it working fine now without me doing anything to it
I've got an ntl broadband modem, still boxed, that they delivered to my house even though I've never had a contract with them... interested?
