Seems like a bit of posturing to me. Await an outcome by 2029.

This isn't a new story. It's been going on for some years now. The way it seems to be progressing seems to suggest your 2029 deadline will be missed.

But our owners are angels. Perhaps this is CR Karma.

''The owners of Leicester City Football Club are reportedly being sued for £323m over money owed to the Thai government.

A criminal court in Bangkok accepted the case against King Power International on Monday, according to Reuters news agency.

The case is also being brought against executives of state-owned Airports of Thailand (AOT), Reuters says.

The BBC has contacted Leicester City FC, King Power and AOT for comment.

The lawsuit accuses King Power of failing to pay the Thai government 14 billion baht (£323m) from the operation of a duty-free franchise it was awarded in 2006.

At a hearing on Monday, the Central Criminal Court in Bangkok accepted the case and said it would now hear from witnesses in February next year.

The action against King Power, owned by Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and his family, was initially filed in July.''

The current prime minister is a prosecution witness. I think we can see the way this is going. It has shades of Blackadder being tried for shooting General Melchet’s pigeon Spekled Jim!

Hopefully they can find £300 plus million. It might even result in further bogus litigation and assets being confiscated. That is the inherent danger of corrupt regimes. All is fine while it suits the person at the top.

The whole thing was great while it lasted.

The foxes trust still have a few thousand kicking about should all go tits up.

And not a very well-informed one at that. As far as I can see, it is the entity " King Power " being sued for money, not the owners. It doesn't seem to me that criminal charges have been laid against our owners, so the fit and proper test would not apply. The system in Thailand seem pretty corrupt from top to bottom and I suspect this will fizzle out with some recompense being paid to all and sundry.

Probably suing because they didn't want to pay the new government money as well :) Nothing will happen, it'll just all be a whole load of Daily Mail articles

My understanding is that neither top nor his old man are named as defendants.

Didn't we mourn the death of the Thai king a little while ago to give us immunity from prosecution in those parts?
