Al-Qaeda founder and leader Osama Bin Laden is dead, according to US media reports citing officials.

The US is in possession of Bin Laden's body, the reports say. President Barack Obama is due to make a statement shortly.

Mr Bin Laden is top of the US most wanted list.

He is accused of being behind a number of atrocities, including the attacks on New York and Washington on 11 September 2001

Bet he regrets using his actual location for his PlayStation account.

Obama said:
at my direction, the US launched a targeted operation…No Americans were harmed…After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden

No mention of how many British soldiers and civilians were harmed I notice.

Tch.

Another potentially big money summer signing off the list.

If Os manages (an admittedly tricky task after being buried at sea) to resurrect himself on the third day, he'd be irresistibly attractive to a club that's been sniffing around the likes of Owen and Heskey.

killed on sunday morning, identified, taken to afghanistan, offered to the saudis, refused by saudis, taken to sea, buried. 24 hours? where's the pictures to prove it or was the USA govt at such a low popularity point they needed something to stimulate their standing?
