i was looking at last seasons team photo, counting how many of the playing staff remian with us, and I think there are about 7 (?). Then it dawned on me, who's our longest serving player? From the official site i discovered that it's Tommy Wright (senior debut in 2002/03 season) followed by Lee Morris (signed January 2004).

i find this difficult to believe for some reason, can anyone disprove this... is andy impey not kicking about somewhere round belvoir drive or something

Most Appearances: Joey Gudjonsson (60)
Longest Serving Signed Player (by debut): Gareth Williams / Dion Dublin / Jason Wilcox (Aug 2004)
Longest Serving Youth Player (by debut): Tommy Wright (Mar 2002)
Longest Serving Signed Player (by date of signing): Lee Morris (Feb 2004)
Longest Serving Youth Player (by date of joining the academy): Ashley Chambers / Richard Stearman (1998)

Lee Morris is still carrying that injury that he got when he tripped over his crutches.

"Didn't Chris O'Grady make a subs appearance a couple of seasons back?"

Against Wolves at Molineux, last game of the season I think?

He won a penalty, Big Tim Flowers came charging up the pitch to take it, but Tricky Trev spoiled his fun by netting before he'd got anywhere near it...

Didn't Tomi "Right, I'm off to University to take dr..." Petrescu get on the pitch in this match too?

So if O'Grady played in 2003, surely this makes him our 2nd longest serving player?

i thought it was Petrescu who won the penalty??

i was at that game :icon_eek: :icon_lol: cant remember who won the pen though :icon_roll :icon_lol:

You could well be right BF, maybe someone else could confirm for sure?

O'Grady made a sub appearance against Grimsby of the Adams promotion season, it was around March time, he should have won a penalty after being hauled down.

He did not however appear in the Wolves, Peterscu did.
