Charl Willougbhy has joined Somerset for next season.....as a Kolpak player. Source

Two questions:
1. The were obviously impressed by his performance in the C & G trophy. However did they not look at the rest of his stats on Cricinfo?

2. How the heck can they sign him as a Kolpak when he took up one of our overseas player slots?

Bizarre that. Wonder if leicestershire tried to re-sign him as a Kolpak or just thought better of it!!

As an overseas signing who should open the bowling he was pants, but as a second change seamer playing as a Kolpak signing he would have been ok IMO.
