Mark de Vries and Dion Dublin lead the line for the Foxes in the pre-season friendly fixture against Oxford at the Kassam Stadium this afternoon.

Craig Levein indicated he would be playing a strong side for the game as he continues to fine-tune his team ahead of the Championship kick-off next Saturday.

And the City boss has kept his word, naming a near full-strength side for the contest.

Just Stephen Hughes and David Connolly are missing from the party - but the duo are expected to recover from their knocks in time for the Sheffield United game.

Rob Douglas returns from his foot injury to take up his place between the sticks, with Alan Maybury, Nils-Eric Johansson, Paddy McCarthy and new man Peter Gilbert making up the defence.

Gareth Williams and Joey Gudjonsson start in the heart of the City engine room, with Momo Sylla and Jason Wilcox taking up the wing roles.

Oxford's line up contains former Foxes Jon Ashton and David Oldfield,
