Don't eat anything past its Use By date and rarely anything after its Sell By Date.I suffer with IBS and have to be careful what I eat nowadays.Won't eat anything from Hot Dog Vans etc in the Street and risk very little from Takeaways either never know what the hygeine standards are

One of my dad's mates used to be a butcher and he wont buy red meat unless it's starting to turn brown. He says the older it is the better it tastes.

Mad as a Shithouse Rat though :102:

Yeah he's a bit rural. We took him to the City once and there had been a pigeon that had been clipped by a bus on Aylestone Road. It was flapping around on the floor so he put his pie and chips down, rung it's neck and put it under a bush, then sat back down to eat his food. There was a lady who looked at him as if he was a murderer.

I ate an 'ile flottant' dated 1/12/08 yesterday. Was fine. My lad won't touch anything past its date though.

Whenever we're in France with my parents my mum has to buy them, she's obsessed with the things. Bit too sweet for me
