is this the first Chelsea player on loan since Muzzy?

IIRC, wasn't Worley a free transfer or purchase rather than a loan? I don't think he was ever in loan here.

I'm very pleased with this signing, sounds like a great prospect. Can't help but feel sorry for Bruno though when he just signed a new contract. Will mitigate the disappointment if Davies does not sign as well.

Would agree with that if Bruno was playing like he has done in the previous two seasons, on this years form it's good that he has some competition for his place.

Don't agree with this... Sort of player who wont be bothered about Leicester, unlike Bruno. Van Aanholt uk sure will treat it like a training session

I disagree. Chelsea are a team in transition, he is going to want to prove himself to Mr Ancelotti that he is good enough for them.

I imagine you probably said the same about Cunningham and Naughton nd Waghorn last season.

He's 20 and the only opposition he has for his position is Ashley Cole who is 31. He won't have too much to worry about hanging around backstage for a while!

Stuart Pearce was playing for England until he was 37, and in the Premiership until he was 39/40.

Are you assuming Mr Ancelotti will still be there next season to pick him?
