He definately said it but I'm not being entirely serious here:icon_wink
:icon_roll

He said something along the lines of: The situation AT THE MOMENT is that we are not going to be buying any players from Plymouth until they come to us and tell us otherwise.

One has to assume he has now been told otherwise.

Anyhow, that's not a direct quote, but... you're quite right, burn him! :icon_razz

This ring any bells from the Sun? :102:

Olly's right mess

By CHRIS MOORE

Published: 08 Dec 2007

IAN HOLLOWAY reckons his new club should be renamed Leicester City Right-Back United as he sorts out the mess he inherited from Martin ‘Mad Dog’ Allen!

The new Foxes boss claims the lack of planning before Allen was sacked after just four games was ‘quite horrendous’.

Holloway hopes to start re-shaping his side next month but admitted: “What happened at the start of the season could hurt this club for quite a while because of the complete imbalance of the squad.

“I have one list of fringe players on my office wall and I still don’t know who most of them are. One can’t even speak any English and most of the others are right-backs!

“If football was about right-backs I would have the strongest team in the world. I must have four dozen of them!

“Perhaps we should change our name to Leicester City Right-Backs United and all play down the right side of the pitch!”

Richard Stearman, James Chambers, Hossein Kaebi, Alan Maybury and Darren Kenton are the players in a battle royal for that right-back position.

But while Holloway makes light of the situation, he is impatient for the transfer window to open so he can start wheeling and dealing.

Last week’s 2-1 home defeat by Southampton prompted signs of unrest on the terraces and Holloway has warned his senior players to respond.

He said: “The natives are getting restless and I understand their frustration. But the wrongs can’t be put right overnight. I want to be fair to players I inherited and give them a chance. But if they don’t take it they will be replaced.

“The lack of planning at the start of the season was horrendous. What do I do with five or six right-backs?

“But don’t get me wrong. Deep down I’m delighted we’re in this mess because otherwise Mr Mandaric wouldn’t have brought me here. This is my chance to build a team.”Holloway attributes his ‘gattling-gun’ outpouring of views to his West Country upbringing but admits he cannot read or write ‘very well’. He said: “My spelling is diabolical. I’m not sure whether I had dyslexia at school. So God knows what I’d be doing if I wasn’t in this game.

“But some of the most powerful people in the world were great communicators and I feel some of the things I say to players does have an effect.

“But I need to start getting rid of some, so if you know anyone who wants a right-back . . . !”

I neither want to burn him or bask in the sunlight that shines from his arse,I was just asking a question as to if we were now buying Plymouth players

Don't know about that Steven but it seems you must love him or loathe him on here:102:

Well i'm indifferent to him... i'm just pro stability and giving people a fair crack at it.

I'm firmly sitting on the fence here.

I speculate that Holloway is an infanticidal maniac that deliberately infects rentboys with his incurable virus.

But at the same time i speculate that he will do well for Leicester (despite having never played for us) and that he will buy Collins John for £425K (exactly) plus Hume.

Good points, bad points, who am I to judge? Also purely wild speculation (not just my own) that I impart to anybody I think is stupid enough to believe me.

At least I'm not accusing him of being ginger...or defensive. He's not a monster.

If i was appointed LCFC manager. I would paint my face half white, half blue and wear a Leicester City jesters hat complete with bells. I'd be a hero. I'd also breakdance in the technical area. We'd have a full stadium every week. It'd be better than most of the entertainment on the pitch over the last 5 years.

Still....Keep the faith. Come back Mickey Adams all is forgiven.
