Sven Goran Eriksson is set to save Paul Konchesky from his Liverpool nightmare.

The Leicester City boss is in talks with the 30-year-old defender over a £1.5m transfer.

Konchesky, who has been told he can leave Anfield after just one disastrous season, is prepared to take a substantial cut to his £40,000 a week wages to revive his career.

I was pleased when we first got him but very disappointed with how he played. However, I would have him back like a shot if possible.
