I don't genuinely believe that Konchesky has turned into a completely useless player since his move to Liverpool didn't really work out with a string of below par performances. I sense that when he was at Forest his confidence was still low from his recent poor form (Maybe RichB can help me here?). I think Sven just needs to get his chin up, get him playing with confidence again and we'll have ourselves a solid left back on our hands.

The one I read seems to have been written during his tenure. Makes reference to the Greece game and beyond.

It also states that Sven likes to instill confidence in his players by having consistency in the group he selects...so I don't know what to believe anymore!

One thing is for sure. Both Sven and I love tits.

There's a good book: "Sven-Goran Eriksson on Management" from his time as England manager, I think a couple of other people on here have mentioned they've read it too, where he talks about his approach to management. One of the main things he says is that he tries to guard against complacency, by putting pressure on players in the first team by having a strong squad rather than a stable XI.

Shame he could never do this while in the England job.
