As has been pointed out the title of the thread should be "Pearson does not identify transfer targets." No doubt both lists are long ones. Many of the targets will have done well this season and may have have been spotted by other clubs. Other targets like Waghorn will probably be unavailable at money we could afford.
We urgently need a left back. McGivern was a rushed loan because Mattock's departure left us with two left backs with an average age of 36. McGivern is a young player and has a lot to learn - I would rather he learned it at a different club.
Regardless of which division we are in I would like to see us get Spearing. He has forced his way into the starting XI despite being very young and very inexperienced which makes me wonder how good he will be in five years time.
If we are still in the championship I would like to see Gilbert back with Morrison partnering Hobbs at centreback until Tunchev comes back. If we are in the Prem we need a bit more experience.

Judging from last summer many of the signings will be unheralded but all will have been watched and thought over and hopefully no Scottish fullbacks.

You're all mental.

On a more serious note, we must sign the following immediately if we're to avoid relegation to the Blue Square Premier:

Gianluigi Buffon
Rio Ferdinand
Steven Gerrard
Cristiano Ronaldo
Stanley Matthews
Jimmy Armfield
Peter Beardsley
Lev Yashin
Luton Shelton
David May
Andy Linighan

What is your obsession with typing random teams, its quite strange.

The only sensible suggestion so far is Cleverly, who I'd love to see back.

Whoever we get in, whatever division we're in... in Nige, Shakey and Walsh we trust. Well, I do, anyway,

Yeah I know. Don't know why he makes teams up and brings up older teams all of the time. C-razy.
Sorry, I thought we were just posting arbitrary lists of players.

Exactly. I can never understand people who just list players who've done well for them on FM.

Almost all of NP's best signings are players I'd never even heard of before (Hobbs, Morrison, Waghorn, Davies, Cleverly, Tunchev) or rejects of other teams (Berner, Gallagher, Weale).

We don't need well known players who will cost 3 times the price.

Surely you're exaggerating here? You must have at least heard of them.
