it's not the difficult questions, it's the downright idiotic questions that IS seems to excell in.

Here is what I would have asked pearson, are they idiotic?

Why do you feel you lost the game today?
Whats gone wrng the past 2 months that we are now in relegation form?
Is woods really injured, if not whats changed since he was scoring goals for fun?
Why do you think strikers go off form after you sign them?
Why are you praising your players when they stand off letting the opposition attack?
What was your remit for this season?
Why are you loaning out so many first team players?
Why do you make the same substitutions every game, dont you think it makes us too predictable?
Is harry kane been played because we cant afford to not play him?

Instead of these what I consider idiotic as every other journo asks the same boring questions.

Nigel how do you think the game went today?
Any news on new signings?
Whats the aim for the next game?

Whats wrong with a polite firm denial?

It's his daughter FFS, just because he is a Football Manager doesn't mean that suddenly he is open to answering questions about his daughters love life, also he probably isn't very comfortable with having to do so. He is a very private person also given their history I think Stringer used this to bait Pearson. Very low blow if you ask me.

I think Stringer and Young are amazing - but not necessarily in a good way.

Stringer's general style and OTT enthusiasm takes me back to what it was like talking football as a 12 year old. However, credit where it is due, he does have the courage or naivety to ask the manager direct football questions about LCFC. Pearson shows contempt either towards Stringer or the fans or both by responding with deadhand replies. This doesn't necessarily make Pearson a bad manager but he's not exactly a PR specialist.

I also enjoy Alan Young's contributions. His views are so stereptyped as to become collector's items. He deserves his own TV show - so a much wider audience can benefit from his wisdom.

Hull to stick with Steve Bruce.

One by one then...
Why do you feel you lost the game today?
No.
Whats gone wrng the past 2 months that we are now in relegation form?
Could be phrased better, but no.
Is woods really injured, if not whats changed since he was scoring goals for fun?
Yes, but only because he wouldn't know who woods is.
Why do you think strikers go off form after you sign them?
Yes.
Why are you praising your players when they stand off letting the opposition attack?
Yes.
What was your remit for this season?
Yes, because that question has been answered months ago.
Why are you loaning out so many first team players?
Yes, because it's nonsense.
Why do you make the same substitutions every game, dont you think it makes us too predictable?
Yes.
Is harry kane been played because we cant afford to not play him?
Yes.

Let's have a look then...
Nigel how do you think the game went today?
Yes, utterly stupid question. What does it even mean? Do journalists really ask this?
Any news on new signings?
Yes, very stupid question, especially as nobody is ever interested in football clubs signing players, ever.
Whats the aim for the next game?
Yes, stupid question.
Broadcasting the rumour that Wood is shagging his daughter might have had something to do with it
Whats wrong with a polite firm denial?
Does this really need answering?
In today's Mail that Mark Hughes is getting the job.
... and the Star says NP is staying.

:017:
Hold on a minute, that can't be right. That would mean at least one of them is making shit up. Would a newspaper just make shit up? I seriously doubt it.

I used to believe they made stuff up, but with easy access to invade people's privacy I don't see why they would. Obviously both stories are true.

Why does Nigel Pearson have this aura of controversy about him? I have known popular and unpopular Leicester managers, but never one that has split the fans in this way.

Does he?

I don't think so.

The age of the internet forum & radio phone-ins might lead you to think he has but seeing as forums and phone-ins are full of wankers it's hardly a fair demographic to base a judgement upon.

Very true - and that applies across the board. My guess is that this Forum is atypical too with acceptance and tolerance of a totally stuffed up season being much more prefable to change to the vocal majority on the Forum than will be reflected in ticket sales for next season . Although not based in Leicester anymore I have a lot of contact and my take is that people are not that enthusiastic about LCFC specifically and perceptions including money grabbing footballers and Sky dominance of match schedules generally.

The standard of contributions on RL forums is worse than pitiful - and the station is fortunate that standards in broadcasting don't seem to be applied to their embarrassing 'phone - ins'

My guess is that you're not atypical of forum posters in general when you create laughable false dichotomies

ive bought my season ticket again for next season but im not sure ive done the the sensible thing i thought after a simply embarrising display i was sure he would have been sack ,cleared his desk and got bombed out of king power ,(my mistake im affraid he is not for me a t any price)

I really think that we need to move on. I am not dancing a jig of delight but, the decision has been made. Let us hope that we Pearson sceptics are proved wrong; he does some team building that we can all agree upon during the summer and that we take the Championship by storm next season!

Well I think that he should really be carrying the can for the rodent infestation. I know Sven has been blamed, but surely Pearson has had long enough to sort it out. I bet he doesn't have any mousetraps, cheese or a moggy. Shambles.

Moggy's still very young and cannot be expected to perform under pressure through a whole season. We need a strong, experienced Tom to help her through it.

I second that emotion
