If Pearson had answered the question and given Burnley some advice, the headlines would have been about Pearson telling Dyche how to do his job. Do journalists ask these questions so they can twist them like that, or are they just thick?

In fairness, Nigel could have made the same point in a humorous, friendly way. But then he isn't bothered about being a media darling like Jose, 'Arry et al.

In all honesty, why should Nige give a flying feck what Burnley should do to stay up? His priority is our club...

In addition, why would another manager be providing advice to a direct rival? Unbelievable question. I can't blame Nige for tearing him up.
