Daily Mirror today adds in its report on MM capturing the Bulgarian that "3 more signings are on the way".

I see that Gillespie fellow, we were supposed to be interested in, has gone to Colchester.

i would rather we go for Lisbie from Colchester, he would be a great player for us in this league,

His 18 goals last season in the Championship suggests he would have been great for us last season too had we offered him a contract.

Money, better ground, better support, better training facilities.

I'm not aware of Colchester being in the need for any money, and they are moving into their own brand new ground next month. I see what your saying, but I don't think they will be looking to sell to their rivals.

Those who went to Layer Road last season will know that there is nothing wrong with the quality of their support. 'More' does not equal 'better'.

There will be other players like Lisbie available, that have lost their way a bit. But started off being promising early in their career we are at a perfect level not to give them a chance.

i understand what you are saying, i should have been more clear when i said "better support" in which i ment better support by the club, better staff, better phyiso's etc..

I'm not even sure that punctuation would make this any more understandable.

I'd be curious to know what evidence you have for this. Many would think that it is Colchester that is doing the better job when their arrainment is related to their resources.

Hardly any evidence to support that, to be honest

Our club is a walking, breathing joke - and we have a whole new management team that has yet to prove anything at all

And while we prepare to head off for some completely pointless trip to Slovenia, Colchester are, as we speak, camped out at Loughborough University going through their training schedule supported by a whole range of specialist sports scientists etc.

But beer is cheap in Slovenia...

From the Merc:

"Tunchev is the fourth signing for Nigel Pearson since he was appointed two-and-a-half weeks ago - and the City boss is aiming to land two further additions in the next 48 hours."

and later in the same article...

Pearson said: “There could be a couple more coming in before we go to Slovenia next week. The idea is to get a balance in the squad. I am pleased with what we have done so far but we are always on the look-out.”

With players arriving, more could be going out, following the departures of Gareth McAuley, Iain Hume and Richard Stearman.

Pearson said: “There has been some interest expressed in some loan deals but I would like to have a closer look at one or two before making some decisions.”
