Leicester City goalkeeper Carl Pentney has today (Tuesday) signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The 19-year-old, who hails from Norwich, served time on loan with York City, Ilkeston Town and Fisher Athletic during the 2007-08 campaign.
He was also a regular member of the U18 squad and played a number of matches for the reserves.
Goalkeeping coach Mike Stowell said: "This is great news for Carl. He has worked hard to get to this point and has shown buckets of dedication. He's certainly a young man going in the right direction.
"He's got good hands and he kicks the ball well. He's now ready to work towards taking the next step.
"He featured for Fisher in the Conference South play-off finals and he can only learn from that experience."
Youngsters Lee Cox and Scott Garner signed their first professional contracts with the club earlier this summer.
