Good question. I wonder if it's anything to do with the fact he's injured.

I agree with what Jeff says regarding our youth team.

Our youth players aren't that good, they just play effective football. They are built to be strong, muscular players, but not particularly talented and our youth teams apparently play long ball.

Basically, we just play youth matches to win, rather than to mould and improve the players which is the wrong way to go about it really.

Having seen the under 18s play a few times last season I thought there were a couple of lads with potential. Parkes for one. Elliott Chamberlain for another. It'll be interesting to see whether they step it up this year. But without a Reserve team I guess they'll be shipped out on load.
