Anyone know if Mozilla have changed anything in the latest version of Firefox?

I have pages that have php contents on both sides and at the bottom of the main page but the right hand side php isn't showing.

Works fine on IE and Opera.

Aha! Renders OK with safemode so that means it is one of my extensions causing the problem.

Now to start disabling one by one............

If a mod wants to delete this thread - feel free!

Otherwise leave it here in case anybody else has the same problem.

Turns out it was caused by the 'AdBlock' extension. It was blocking one of my php content items ONLY beacuse it was called 'advert.php'.

Renamed it to something else and all was well.

Some things are too clever for their own good - or too stupid, can't decide which.

That's odd, surely the page would've been processed on the server. Or is there a script in the page that calls it in?

Unless the php page was being loaded in an iFrame I can't understand how firefox would know?

Explanations are beyond my simple knowledge but suffice to say it wasn't Firefox but one of the filters in the AdBlock add-on that caused it not to show.

Once renamed AdBlock was happy :)

Irrespective, PHP is a server side language, so any pages included using a PHP inclusion method will not be seen by the browser (or any add-ons). The only way it would know that the page name was advert.php is if it is in an iFrame, which are often used for advertising so I would fully expect an adBlocker to block it!

It could also be some kind of AJAXified script pulling it in but, your right of course, it has to be something client side for it to know it even exists.

Ah good point, you can tell it has been nearly 4 weeks since I've been at work or done anything productive!

It knew about it because the wording 'advert.php' was there in the source code of the main page.
