why do we have the lee marshall AND the ade akinbiy award for the crappest player + the steve guppy AND keith weller award for best player?

MOM is always going to go to the player with the most points above average and the worst player is going to be that with the most points below average....

MOM is always going to go to the player with the most points above average and the worst player is going to be that with the most points below average....

Maybe the above/below average is based on whether a player is above or below their own historical average, rather than the average of the team's performance for that one game.

I'm sure Sheff will be along in a minute to tell us.

Yeh webbo was right, the performance of the day award goes to the player who has played the most above their own average for the season, hence playing above their station. The letdown of the day award is obviously the reverse.
