Here in the poll is a list of all the players that have made a considerable contribution to our season. Simply vote for who is your player of the season. :icon_wink

Cleaarly it's got to be Nicky Adams :) and why no 'Marvelous' Mark Edworthy on that list?

Easy. Howard.

Without him we were useless. Let's hope there is a plan B next season...

Bit of a landslide, i voted Tunchev even though Howard probably deserved it as Tunch only played half a season

As someone who has stuck to his pre-season decision not to watch third division football, I'm in no position to make a proper judgement.

However, without going to the matches, i do know that we needed someone to put the ball in the net and during that long unbeaten run and across the season as a whole, Matty Fryatt has amassed a goal tally that few would have dreamed were possible. On that basis, although he may not have been our 'best' player - he was nonetheless 'Player of the Season'.

So your vote should not count....................... :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: :icon_wink

Congratulations to you for keeping your resolution; I'm far too addicted to keep to any promise I make to myself (and others) about curbing the excesses of my habit.

I've got to tell you though that you have missed quite a season, especially away from home. Standing on terraces, proper local catering, friendly fans, etc, etc - I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The sterile libraries of the Championship and the Premier League have nothing to compare with the experiences of the past year.

Agreed ,took you back to the old days :038::038::038::038:

Boc's old days were more spinning top's than football.

:icon_roll

I'll not even try to understand what that means.

I'm genuinely glad you have enjoyed it Boc - and still one more treat for you yet with the tasty treat of a visit to the home of the Cheshire giant's at Gresty Road which should meet all your criteria for a good day out although no doubt tinged with some sadness that for both good and unfortunate reasons you are not very likely to be going there again in the near future. Not even for a riveting JPT road to Wembley clash.

In contrast, I will be focussing shortly on picking out the most interesting looking fixtures to make my selective visits to home games next season - that won't be including Doncaster and our country cousins from Peterborough.

I'm guessing that if this poll was taken before Xmas Howard would be somewhere near the bottom and Fryatt at the top. If you're judging player of the season it should be based on the whole season not just the last 3 months.

When SheffieldFox tots up the wholes season's players rating it should give us a more accurate reflection on player of the season.
