Player Ratings

Absolute dire game between 2 bad teams

Taylor 6 - not a lot to do, kicking a bit off at times

Dabizas 5 - fouled a lot again but restricted their strikers to few chances

Keown 5 - as Dabizas

Dublin 6 - a little bettermark because he won most headers

Maybury 6 - athletic and energetic and certainly an improvement on Makin but wasnt as good as I was expecting.

Stewart 6 - people say hes improving but didnt do much today

Gudjohnsen 5 - buzzed about a lot in front of the back 3 but no quality

Nalis 5 - did nothing, not worthy of a place

Williams 6 - slightly better than the other 2 but dissappointed me with his lack of quality and service to the strikers

Scowcroft 4 - rubbish, was looking forward to seeing DeVries, should have put Tommy on for the last 20 mins.

Connolly 7 - only player we have with quality, put in 100%, with little or no service and scored a great goal. Goals will hopefully come when MDV plays alongside him

First time ive seen them play since Wigan and I saw no signs of improvement. Im even concerned about us for Tuesday.

Although Preston have a good home record there were 3 points there for the taking.

We didnt seem able to pass the ball along the floor today(mind you neither did Preston). The lucky ones were those who got ejected by the police for standing up, at least they didnt have to witness 90 minutes.

Taylor 6 - poor kicking AGAIN!
Maybury - 6 better than Makin but a bit anoymus
Stewart - 7 a good performance with lots of effort
Dabizas - 5
Keown - 5
Dublin - 4 I swear he wants us to lose!
Gudjonsson - 3 have you ever seen him do anything of use?
Nalis - 5 apleyed the ball well
Williams - 8 He appeared to be everywhere got stuck in and worked for the team (MOTM)
Scowcroft - 3 Go Go Go Now!
Connolly - 7 what a goal! He ran all over and worked like hell, just the rest of the team

Taylor 5
Maybury 5
Stewart 5
Dabizas 5
Keown 5
Dublin 5
Gudjonsson 4
Nalis 4
Williams 5
Scowcroft 3
Connolly 7

Taylor 6 - Made a couple of decent saves, kicking was a little dodgy but does instill more confidence than Pieman.

Keown 6 - Reasonably solid, but does seem to look a little uncomfortable in a back 3.

Dabizas 6 - Again played ok without setting the world alight.

Dublin 6 - Same as above

Maybury 6 - Did ok, looks a decent player and once he settles in will be a decent addition to the side, didnt get the opportunity to get forward as much as last week.

Stewart 6 - Another energetic display from Jordy, but final ball was not good enough, looked reasonably solid defensively.

Nalis 6 - Better than Gemmill, but didnt really stamp his authority on the game.

Gudjonsson 5 - Anonymous

Williams 7 - At the heart of all the best moves, good vision and tremendous work rate, has really improved under Levein.

Scowcroft 5 - Poor, looks a yard slower, needs to be dropped and either sold on or needs to get his head straight, waste of a shirt at the moment.

Connolly 7 - Great goal, worked hard for the team, looked a threat and ran the channels well, suffers through a lack of a quality striker next to him, De Vries will make a big difference.

Although we didnt play brilliantly, Preston have been superb at home this season, and they have been able to bring in quite a few players and have had longer under their new manager, we should not lose sight of the fact we are 15th and therefore today was an ok result. We also need 2 or 3 more players in and then we will see a big improvement. Be paitent !

Taylor 6 - kicking has finally improved
Maybury 7 - looks a good buy
Stewart 4 - gets the ball and runs out of ideas 3.2 seconds later
Dabizas 4 - still thinks his big club 'reputation' will get him out of trouble Keown 5 - not bad but not particularly good either
Dublin 4 - go to kov skum now please
Gudjonsson 3 - goes from bad to worse
Nalis 2 - completely insipid performance
Williams 6 - at least made a contribution of sorts
Scowcroft 2 - made no real contribution at all
Connolly 7 - extra point for the goal and work rate is still high

They have also won 10, from the last 13 games

Taylor 6 - good enough, beaten by a great free kick from what I could see
Maybury 6 - yeah, not bad
Stewart 6 - tried hard but passing is appalling
Dabizas 5 - ok
Keown 5 - ok
Dublin 5 - nothing spectacular...
Gudjonsson 4 - whooooooo ?
Nalis 5 - tried, but not really up to it is he ?
Williams 8 - great stuff I thought. Battled. That's what it's about.
Scowcroft 3 - His worst yet. Woeful.
Connolly 7 - ran his socks off and great goal

Well, I didn't think it was THAT bad compared to some LCFC performances I've seen this season. Still pitiful in the final third and I feel so sorry for Connolly - the number of times he's in great position only for the ball to played too long, or blasted over, or he gets unseen / ignored or the ball just doesn't reach because of a poor pass is incredible.
