Taylor - 6 - made one great save and a couple of good ones, was quite good at commanding his area, but his kicking was woeful again.
Stearman - 8 - MOTM - great first start, after playing 90 minutes in the ressies mid-week as well. Can only think of a couple of times he did something wrong and plays some very intelligent balls through midfield.
Dabizas - 5 - didn't really notice him much as I usually do so he gets marked up a bit for less obvious fouls, but when I did notice him it wasn't for good things, might be a bit quicker than most of our centre-backs but shouldn't get into the team just because of that...
Dublin - 6 - shocking mistake in the first half, but did well with it most of the time, shouldn't he have tried to jump for their second goal? That probably goes for all of them though... Seemed to play up front for the last few minutes per-instruction but showed how much of a donkey he is up there again.
Stewart -7 - was isolated for much of the match having to work the left side by himself so was not as good in either roles as he can be, but that doesn't mean to say he was bad and he tried quite hard, I felt sorry for him as he had no support and yet the crowd constantly got on his back again.
Gillespie - 8 - best corners I've seen from us in ages, put in some good crosses too, managed to beat his man quite a few times and generally showed...wait for it... passion, though he should probably stop arguing with opposition players so much when play has stopped. I was very impressed again by his improvement, hopefully its not a knock to his confidence that we lost.
Nalis - 6 - some good passing but was too slow most of the time, and went missing for large parts of the match, still wish people would stop shouting 'shoot'.
Gudjonsson - 5 - tried but still gets bundled off the ball quite easily and while he tries to win it back he's generally not successful. His shots might be off-target but at least he takes the chance when most of our players would prefer to pass it.
Gemmill - 4 - poor, poor, poor, please drop him. Was no support down the left, only passes sideways, never shot even though he was frequently in the position to, corners hardly ever beat the first man.
Blake - 4 - improvement on his sub appearances! Unfortunately not by much, lost the ball too many times, tried to knock the ball past players a lot but was never fast enough to get to it. Had our best chance of the game though.
Scowcroft - 4 - Was good in the first half-an-hour but was anonymous for the rest of the match, in that half-an-hour his passing was good as was his build up play but clearly suffered from not having Connolly next to him, best chance he headed wildly over the bar.
Subs:
Williams - 4 - only noticed him about after he came on, was supposed to add to our attacking play but did nothing.
Morris - 3 - lightweight, is constantly bundled off the ball and didn't put one cross in.
