I must say I disagree with that quite strongly. We have enough quality (in camparison) to get promoted, barring 1 decent creative player. The problem thus far has been application and confidence for me.

Well its all about opinions:icon_wink but i'm sorry i really dont think we are that close. I've not seen much evidence to suggest that they are anything near a decent team. Yes there was Chelsea and Villa but imo there was no pressure on either of those games.

Nobody should expect too much from this group of players because collectively they are not good enough. Imo at least half a dozen better quality players in all areas of the team are needed to turn us in to serious championship contenders.

I think that some of the players have been underperforming and could come good under new management. Campbell has been disappointing, Kishishev poor and Cort has been useless. However, I do think all three have the potential to do well.

Cort has been useless for years, I very much doubt he'll ever come good for us for any length of time, he's injured so often as well which doesn't help. Kishishev probably won't play for us much more, I imagine a permanent deal with Leeds is on the cards at some point. What possessed us to pay 2 million for Campbell i don't know but of those three he is the only one who might actually turn out not to be too bad.

I do think we have a decent enough squad though, amongst the thousands of players there is the potential for at least a playoff challenging side, maybe with a couple of additions. It's just up to the manager and the players themselves to make that happen.

Ok... 1.6 rising to 2.1 if we want to be particular, the point still stands.

Because MA2 reckoned he could do a job at this level, as do I.

We have lost only 1 away from home so far this season, better than anyone else in our league. Sort the home form out and we'll be in contention.

Optimistic ? This time yes-------

Best defensive record in the Championship by three goals
MM's patience rewarded with RIGHT choice
4-4-2
January investment to back the new manager
Ian holloway

HOLLOWAYTHELADS !!!!!!!!!!!!

good management and good training makes a good team not necessarily good players, I dont buy into the players are no good argument, watford wasnt a fluke the players are capable.

I do believe we need some midfielders but I believe we have a good enough keeper albeit on loan, defense and strikers.

Shhhhhh (Watford) Shhhhhhhhh

if we keep on improving i see no reason why the playoffs can't be reached.

3 points V Soton please

I think we can do it too. For the first time this season I'm actually having trouble picking our best eleven. Surely a good sign that maybe we do have some talent at this club. It's just been stifled by poor management and team selection. Holloway is the man to fix our problems. January transfer window hopefully will see us sign a creative midfielder. I think our strikers may be good enough if they get service, especially the younger ones. Priority must be retaining Fulop (and Holloway).

It's great to see your enthusiasm lads but I fear you might be running away with yourselves.
We've a long way to go yet.

If we win all of our remaining games we may go up as Champions.

There again, if we lose them all we may well find ourselves relegated.

It's enough to make Saturday a real six-pointer.

....and if we do win all our remaining fixtures and play them all as six pointers we could run away with this league with an unprecedented 125 points.

Yay go blue army yeah!

Woowoo wibble wahey!

But if the other teams are also having six pointers, could we then get 12 pionts per game, thus giving us the potential to be the first to smash the 200 point barrier?

I think it's on....

First sign of being a loon is answering your own post.

Second sign would be answering your own post with stark raving nutcake gibberish and then applauding yourself. :110: :tumbleweed:
