I know it was reported a while ago that they wanted to change the date of the Plymouth match, and it now looks like it's going to happen.

Mr Bocadillo phoned me after tonight's match to tell me he'd heard from a reliable source that it's now going to be played on Saturday 12th November - instead of Tuesday 1st. Expect it to be confirmed officially on Thursday.

I heard this from my source. I also heard that the Southampton game will kick off later to be shown on Sky, but that wasn't from my source. Why Sky would want to show us, I don't know.

A good laugh. :icon_sad:

They probably want to get our games out of the way now so they can concentrate on the promotion chasing teams towards the end of the season.

Apparently the new date is virtually certain but they are still having discussions about the kick-off time. England kick off (against Argentina in Switzerland at 16:45 GMT) so the k/o time may well be earlier than 15:00 to allow people time to get home or into a pub in time to see that match.

I suggested that people would have time to get home or to a pub, so I meant both sets. There is at least one contributor to this board who will have time to get home before England kick off - and he *is* a Leicester fan.

I was being pedantic, because I am tired, and grumpy, and pissed off after last nights 'performance'. ;)

Having said that, could anyone cope with another dire City performance followed by a crap England game? Oh the joys of being a footy fan.....

Plymouth game will not be moved to the 12th, get ready for a bluddy long night

I've just heard this officially from the club too. Absolutely bonkers!!!

No other countries cancel all their 2nd tier games on international dates, so why do we insist on it? It seems that both clubs wanted the switch and the change seemed about to be made a few days ago.

Have you any idea what the final sticking point was, MB?
