There are a few reasons why we should not be too despondant, and also hopeful that RK will be able to generate the sales necessary to free up cash to improve on the squad.
Douglas - Until recently was still in the Scotland squad and playing for Celtic, it seems pretty likely that Craig Gordan will move on from Hearts in the summer, and I am sure Big Rab would still attract interest North of the Border, remember he took a hefty pay cut to join Leicester in return for a longer contract, so he could be affordable to premier teams in the top six.
Sylla - There were a number of clubs interested in Sylla last summer and I am certain that a few of those clubs would no doubt still take a chance on him.
Hamill - Whilst he is clearly no world beater, I would still not be surprised to see interest from Scotland for him.
Hammond - Can see him back at a London club, be it on loan or on a permanent basis. Bottom end of championship or possible league one outfit.
De Vries - Unlikely to return to club, again I can see interest from SPL, who will have noted his success in his previous spell, or a move back to Holland, there is always Sheffield United :icon_wink
And the icing on the cake, Levein is offered a route back into football management during the summer, and his first task is to ring his former Assistant at the Walkers offering to sign all of the above.....could happen !
