Isn't that letting the heart rule the head though . Managerial experience zilch. Would like Lennon back at Leicester but not the answer to the shite we are in right now. Maybe if he came here with an experienced backup it would be better.

I think people dismiss Lennon too lightly. True, anyone without previous management experience is a gamble, but in his case perhaps less of a gamble than most. He is clearly keen to come, wants to get into management, and has worked under MON for 10 years. I expect he will have learned a lot about management a la O'Neill. He also seems to have a good temperament, and would be respected by the players.

But more than all that, there is leadership on the pitch. Isn't the biggest problem at the moment that the players have some skill but no vertebrae? The soft centre would be eradicated with him resuming his midfield general's role, even if he isn't quite the player he was. Can you see the same capitulation, week after week, with him on the pitch?

I think we would get two for the price of one with Lennon, and that maybe its less of a gamble, at least than some of the journeyman alternatives with checkered records.
