So Nick Powell back to Man Utd because he couldn't make an impression at Leicester.

Is this similar to Harry Kane who couldn't make an impression with us last season, and is now getting rave reviews ?

Nothing I suppose to do with our manager's ability to develop players - or giving them a chance ?

Harry Kane was not with us last season. And when he was with us he did not show the form that he has for Spurs this season. Possibly as a result of our manager or more likely as a result of him being younger and less experienced at that time.

As for Powell, again it may the fault of our manager but it may also be the fault of the player. A player who has (seemingly) made absolutely no impact at Man United and was far from a standout player in the Championship last season with Wigan. A player who has only (thus far) been successful in lower league football.

I wanted Powell to be a success here too but I never understood the clamor of some regarding his signing.

No, nothing to do with that at all

He's shite, and hopelessly out of his depth. Just like Kane was two years ago

He might be ok in a couple of years, just like Kane is now

Just like last time, we can't wait that long because he's only here on loan
