I wondered why there was no mention of the score in the report.

Nigel looks very studious almost like a University Lecturer in that photo that they show.

There's an article on LCFC.com about pre-season friendlies at home. It mentions the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1992. Above it there's a picture of Davie Gibson, with the caption "Davie Gibson was among the team to play Mönchengladbach."

Davie Gibson would have been in his mid fifties when we played that game.

Colin Gibson, on the other hand, was a Leicester player at the time...

He was Grandpa’s favourite player of all time, Davie Gibson. He had dementia in his final years and the first time I noticed it was when he told me a long, rambling story about Gibson. By the end of the story he was up off the sofa, glass of sherry in hand acting out a favourite goal. He plonked himself back down, took a big gulp of sherry and started the story again. Always makes me smile to think of it, he was there at Filbo living every second in his mind.

And I can definitely imagine myself recreating that Mahrez goal against Spurs for the grandkids in 50 years time!

Evans and Mendy to miss the remaining two friendlies with injuries. Doubtful for Man Utd too.
