Pre-Season Friendlies

... which is really good news for those of us who have already got unrefundable advance purchase train tickets to Cheltenham.

My original plan for the pre-season was to go to the games at the two League grounds where I have never see City before, viz. Mansfield and Cheltenham. Do you think the gods are trying to tell me something?

It's not pissing down in the Garden of England. Perhaps they should bring the game down here.

Perhaps they will switch it to Kidderminster like the one they have against Wolves tomorrow. I could then have the best of both worlds - see City play Cheltenham for the first time and also see City at Aggborough for the first itme - two for the price of one!

Cheltenham game may be moved

The Cheltenham site says there will be no decision on this before Monday. Both teams clearly want the game to go ahead.

Leicester City's pre-season friendly against Cheltenham tomorrow will not now
go ahead at the Walkers Stadium.

Switching the game to City's ground had been suggested following last week's severe floods in Gloucestershire, which forced Cheltenham to play their “home” friendly against Wolves on Saturday at Kidderminster because their Whaddon Road ground had no running water.

And Kidderminster's Aggborough Stadium could again be pressed into service tomorrow as the suggested switch to the Walkers Stadium would mean too short notice for stewarding, etc, to be put in place.
