They already have a game on the Sunday and then have to go back to Spain before they leave again for Athens to play Olympiakos on 3rd August.

I do wonder how many the game will attract on a Friday night.

They should make this a £5 a ticket and a £1 for kids and fill the stadium but.................knowing this club as I do it will be a Dick Turpin job....... yer money or yer life

I read Bilbao have a proud record of being one of only three teams in Spain to never drop out of the top division. With Barca and Real. They were in serious danger this year and we were considering to revise their Basque only policy. However they were successful in staying up. Although some Bilbao fans wanted them to drop down and win the Second Division. Being the only Spanish club to win everything available at domestic level.

Sound a bit like Aston Villa to me
 
Bilbao have had it even tougher as well, with this thing where they can only sign players that are Basque. They cannot sign the world's greatest players, and for those to stay in the top division for so long with a limited choice of players, it really is a great achievement.

Every other team in the Basque region apart from Barca and Bilbao who have used foreigners have been relegated in the last 10 years.
