i was very worried about the pre season training this season. Kelly did not do enough fitness and we were well off the pace for ages.

Same here..... don't think I have seen the tv coverage of that before. Always too painful to watch!

Old Dennis didn't seem too pleased to havee to do it again, though most PrimaDona's woulda been off in a shot! Like you say, a work ethic is needed like that.

Yeah, true. Ian Marshall was about the last man in football that struck me as "real". You'd always hear storys of Marshall gettin hammered in a pub smoking forty a night. Top bloke.

Agreed. Hopefully that was the first thing he learnt from as a new manager... if he gets a go at another pre-season, that is.
