I would've thought it'd be Spurs at home if anything, the big team comes to the small team usually, mostly to help the smaller team generate some decent gate receipts.

we always play local teams to start with so im guessing peterboroughs 2 games are towards the end of pre season, hopefully we will get a decent team at the walkers for our curtain raiser

Bit of an oxymoron, that.
As long as we have a proper pre-season and come out of it ready to compete in the Championship, I'll be happy.
Much as a friendly against Villareal's reserves would be fun, games against better lower league and a couple of Prem teams, plus the usual stuff where the academy play Hinckley, Oadby Town, etc, would be far better.

I have it on good authority that on August 1st we will playing a premier league side who currently sit in the top 6 at the Walkers stadium and its not Villa....but its been suggested that its Liverpool.

Don't the top prem sides usually play in the Amsterdam Tournement etc. Probally will be a Liverpool XI with not many first teamers
