would people rather see us get into the prem and do a derby and just get ****ed every week, or go down to the third division and absolutely romp it, distroying all in our way.

i know that the later wont happen but a hypothetical never hurts.

just seems so pointless in clubs trying to stay in the prem, and of the bunch that went up last year i think brum just about have the minerals to stay up, s'land will get dragged down imo.

League One or the Premiership? Hmm, I'll sleep on it and I'll get back to you tomorrow.

That's a tough one.

surely the feeling that comes with winning every week outways that of losing? maybe im just being a bit superficial

I hope you weren't being serious. :icon_roll

Why people would want to see us in League One than the Premiership is ridiculous.

As for us 'romping' League One, you must be kidding yourself. People expected Manchester City, Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United in recent seasons to 'romp' it. And did they? Did they bollocks.

premiership please, wha a stupid fcuking thread

i'ld prefer league 2 if possible.........WHAT THE F**K DO YOU THINK?!?!?

With reference to Derby, they are in a far stronger position than us even if we stay up. Providing they have budgeted well, they will with their one season in the prem have far more fianancial clout than us. It seems now that you need to go up, get relegated, and gain a stronger squad before having a more realistic chance of survival 2nd time around.

On a depressing side note, I watched Derby the other day being soundly beaten by somebody or other, and all the while I kept thinking to myself "shit, they're actually MILES better than us at the moment!" :icon_conf

As for my answer to this thread, see all the other posts. How can you enjoy playing the likes of Yeovil, even if you do win (which wouldn't be guaranteed)? It's more embarrassing to be playing Yeovil in the first place than being thrashed by Arsenal.

To believe that we would "romp" league one stinks of an arrogance that would be our downfall (and has been upto a point!).
So called smaller clubs would raise their game when playing the mighty Leicester that have never been outside the top 2 divisions before.

Silly question!

The more I think about it the more appealing it becomes. Who knows, maybe the lower leagues are far closer to the Corinthian values that are so missed in modern day football.

Can I put in a vote for the Championship?

Good call.

I dont mind staying in this league, its a good honest league with some big names in it.

Its the quality of football thats important to me. And we just aint getting that here at the mo.

Some say that they dont mind watching shit for 90 mins as long as we win. Thats not for me. Thats like watching a shit movie with a happy ending.

Biff winning is everything. Anything else and we stand in the long line of losers.
After watching a crap game but winning 1-0 with the only shot on target I go home happy.
I am a miserable fecker after a game when we play great football and lose.

Youve got to earn the right to win games. The chances of winning any league playing crap week in week out, is nil.

I agree about being a miserable fecker when we lose :icon_lol:
