Why does he need someone to come in, he's doing pretty good without anyone

Three members of staff have left, that must put a lot of extra work onto other people. I'm sure there will be at least one more person coming in - but not necessarily someone high profile, but to help with coaching, admin etc.

i agree could do with a few more coaches but i disagree that someone should come in and he be joint manager/or DoF, but just as a coach and that should be his choice, not the boards or anyone elses. IMO he doesn't need much/if any help managing the team, after all he has done something we haven't done in 3 or more years by winning 3 games on the bounce, and in difficult circumstances

What I am not sure about. Is the curent success down to Rob Kelly or just simply Levein leaving?

I believe Levein was having a negative impact on the club, him leaving relieved that negative input.

We all say when a club sacks his manger "Typical, we are playing them this week". Is this just a case of that or has R.Kelly really got what it takes.

I think R.Kelly could flourish as a coach and man manager, if he has a club manager in the office out of the way, who will not interfere with the day to day training.

This would be my ideal scenario, this will leave Kelly free to do what he is doing, and what he knows best. And leave a manager to do the admin, discilpline and the hiring and firing side of the business.

What I'm saying is someone should come in to help with the workload - and it could involve some of the non football admin type stuff managers have to do, as well as coaching. Maybe there will be people promoted from within the club and new people will be brought in lower down, anything to help the workload.

I don't expect this is the kind of thing which will be mentioned in the press conference, it's probably just to announce Kelly is keeping the job until the end of the season, but I'd be very surprised if they don't do something to help him out - it might be possible to cope with fewer people in the short term, but in the medium to long term they'll have to get more people in.

Hmmm, I think this press conference might raise a few more eye brows than you think webbo.

well i would still like to see holloway there maybe in a joint managers roll with RK,ithink we owe a lot to RK and when we stay up this season it will be down mostly to what he has achieved in a a short space of time in turning the club around but he keeps distancing himelf from the job and insisting that he has not applied for the postion which maybe suggests that he doesnt believe he has the abilility to do the job on a long term basis or that maybe he wouldnt be happy having the job full time and that he is happier in his coaching postion,

Ive just been asked for directions to the walkers stadium by Ricky Thomlinson, aka mike bassett. Apparently he had got a 4 oclock appointment with his tv crew at the ground.
insidentally:- he was driving a blue transit van with what looked like a load of footy kit in the back

ON CEEFAX NOW........
rob kelly is expected to be named as leicester city manager until the end of the season.

I have just had some inside information about this press conference:

For the first 15 minutes we are all going to be staring at some empty chairs with a few background muffles to listen to. Ocassionally the Sky Sports presenters will tell us that they are expecting the press conference to start any moment now.

Then we spend the next 20 minutes listening to some very good answers, but wondering what the fook the question was.

For the next 3 hours we will be treated to Sky Sports re-living the press conference and the yellow "breaking news" ticker along the bottom of the screen.
