Has to be one leaving Duzz, I see no othere reason why we would sign another CH and not a LB, although there isn't usually a press conference to announce a player leaving, so I doubt it's that

No doubt the press conference will lead to the inevitable questions of other potential signings, backroom appointments and possible departures, hopefully today will provide a few answers to these questions.

No, but if the club can offset some potentially disappointing news of a player departure by at the same time announcing the signing of a replacement then it may well help to soften the blow.

They can do if questions can be directed to RK, may well give an indication to how many new signings we can expect, if and when we are likely to appoint some backroom staff.

The only thing I would say, is would all the fuss of a 12.00 Press conference be made for a signing of McAuley's calibre or could it be to make a number of announcements, maybe a double signing or the appointment of an Asst Manager / First team coach, seems very high profile.

The news wasn't on the official site when I posted the press conference info.


Makes me wonder why they sent an email out to the media saying there would be a press conference, but didn't include any details of what it's for. Maybe they think if they tell the media it's for the signing of a lower division player not many press people will bother turning up.

I dont know, just think a press release would have sufficed for this type of signing, wouldnt have thought a full blown press conference at the Walkers would be required, just wondered whether the club could be taking the opportunity to make more than one announcement and therefore the justification for the press conference.

There is a press conference for all signings usually I thought.

I expect to see a defender move on in the near future now, Kisnorbo? Presumably we wanted to get cover in before we let them go?
