He might have gone back to Villa for treatment but players (other than goalkeepers) can not be recalled from a 28-day emergency loan or in the first 28 days of a longer emergency loan.

We are trying to get his loan period extended but Celtic are also in for him and would like a permanent deal.

Why would we splash cash on Curtis, he may be a good player but has failed to prove he can stay injury free for a reasonable length of time over the last few years, I'd continue to take him on loan if fit but he is back at Villa being treated now and is unlikely to return unless the loan is extended.

I've been told he is by someone who is usually reliable but I'm not going to investigate further, I'd guess if he's likely to be out until the end of the loan Villa would take him back and treat him.

Am I the only one not to think Davies is great? He was at fault for the Leeds goal and one of the Swansea ones, certainly not great in the air.

Naughton is and will be twice the player. Davies, he's tons better than how other centre-backs have played for this season.
