Hi Foxes fans,
Just to let you know if your driving up on saturday, don't bother with the park and ride from the hospital for a fiver, get off the M6 at J31 go up the hill into town and follow football ground signs, turn right at the roundabout (Hesketh arms) go through two sets of lights and over the bridge on your left is Preston Fire station (opposite mcdonalds) its £2 and room for 200 cars and two minutes walk from the away end at deepdale.
Proceeds contribute to fire service ben fund and the station yard mainly attracts away fans as its easy access to motorway.
Pub across road does "two for one" food and is good for away fans also.
Have a good trip and see you on the fire station yard.
Phil.

Good man, thanks for the info. Have a terrible feeling that you and your mates will be waiting to relieve me of my car radio and that is all that these are directing us to...but I think we'll trust you.
Cheers :)

I don't know many people from Poland - the ones I do know are all ready pretty shiny already.

Anyone know how difficult the ground is to get to from the train station?

its about a mile and a half walk, leave the station turn right (towards town centre, past debenhams) follow fishergate for the full length, eventually you come to a large junction (traffic lights) across which you will see preston prison, go straight across and take the left fork (deepdale road) follow deepdale road until you arrive at the ground on your right.
i wouldnt bother with the pubs around deepdale rd/meadow st, carry on to the ground and about 200yrds beyond is the sumners, will be busy but safe.
Other than that take the car and park on the fire station :) the pub across (toy soldier) will have plenty away fans in.

Is any one going to the museum?

Thought not (it's toss)

its free, you can spend 2 or 3 hours or ten mins, i like the england shirt and cap (only one surviving) from the first ever international footy match, which was played against the sweaties in the mid 19th century, not sure if its still there, but the fa cup has been on show and you can pay to have your photo taken with it (its cheaper to take your own camera)

Yeah Joe....part of every 'Awayday' ritual is to take in the local heritage beforehand.I remember Ipswich away one year fecking lousy result, pubs were shite but the day was saved by a trip to The Maritime Museum and a pot of tea in the local Arts & Craft Centre...

Given the entertainment available to you normally, HF, I actually believe that might have done all that

I'm deadly serious...three cups you could get out of that Pot and the Scones were out of this World

its the national football museum, at the home of the worlds first pro footy team.

I went PNE away last time we played there on a Tuesday night it was.We lost 3-0 I think could have been 10-0,Fuller tore us apart but we were awful.Went in some Pub next to Yates's I think...

Besides Homer you would know all about 'Entertainment' living in the 'Town that Never Wakes'.I remember some enchanting nights down At 'Coalville Greyhound Stadium'..fecking classy place that was.

Homers weekends in coalville are a struggle! Do you go to to Teddy Edwards or Geoff's Toys?? the choices are endless.
