Approx 125 Miles - 2½ - 3 Hours

As recommended by PFKAKTF last season ...

M1 > A50 > M6 .... exit the M6 at Jct 31A take the third exit on the roundabout and follow the road to a second roundabout ( The Anderton Arms will be on the right hand side) go straight on and follow the road to a third roundabout, turn left and follow to the traffic lights where you need to be in the right hand lane, at the lights turn right and follow the road for about a mile, where you will come to a major traffic light junction turn left at this junction and you will see the Garrison Pub on the right and the Sumners on the left. If you arrive early enough there is decent parking in the Sumners car park.

Trains

You will not be surprised to learn it is impossible to get back after the game on the train.

The station is a good 30 minute walk from the ground.

If you are planning to stop over and travel on the train, there are cheap singles available on the 12.53pm from Leicester (Change at Nuneaton and Crewe) Arrive Preston at 15.15pm - £13.50 and coming back on the 9.29am from Preston (Change at Birmingham New Street) Arrive Leicester at 12.13pm - £11.00

The Preston Central Travelodge currently have rooms available for £26 on the night of the game.

Pubs

The Sumners and The Garrison up on the hill behind Sainsburys are the usual pubs the away fans end up in. I have been to both, and have never had any problems.

Open house at Pinkos :102:

Make a nice change for us all to be there when he is :icon_lol:

there's a wetherspoons near the station which is quite decent. among other small pubs, football special goes from opposite spoons and goes up to the away stand. i'll not be in attendance this year as i can't get the time off, and also as i can't be arsed

I really want to go to this but i cant get a lift from walkers stadium to market harborough when the fox travel arrives back at the walkers after the game :(
