i think its right to have the right mixture BUT that includes playing the of youngster now and again to give them experience, and so the cycle goes.
We dont play them now and again though, we play them never

I don't think you're gonna change Micky's mind, despite the belief in youth. To be fair though, if those players were THAT good, don't you think they would of got more opportunities by now?

We've got old players because they're the only players we could afford.

Putting loads of youngsters into a struggling team not the answer. One or two on the bench would be good though, so we can give them some experience.

The last Leicester manager to put lots of youngsters in the team was Jock Wallace. His team got relegated. Most of the young players in that team disappeared without trace, with a Mr Lineker being a notable exception.

I dont mean loads of players. 1 or 2 would be nice. At least put them on the bench, then bring them on when we're losing. Better than putting players like Hignett on there

i would rather see the likes of O'Grady, Wright, Petrescu, Stewart etc come off the bench withe 5 mins to go and chase around like a dog with 2 dicks, rather than the likes of Hignett or Deane stumble around like a dog with no legs!

Come on, get a grip. Throwing young kids into the mix won't help. They aren't Scholes, Beckham, Neville, Giggs & Butt. They aren't really that good. If they were, they'd be playing.

i never said play them from the start, but they will make more of an impact chasing the game in the last 5 rather than Hignet or Deane, at least the young lads can fcuking run!!

Totally agree with Mark about the kids to a certain extent! Tommi Petrescu, Tommy Wright, Nicolas Priet and Chris O'Grady are all being touted as excellent young starlets, well if this is the case we need to give them a taste of first team football. Not all at once and not all the time, but blend them in with the first team we have got and see how they fair. I think we will be very surprised, at least one of them will strengthen our team. Priet just sounds like a typical french player, classy!!! We need some class and composure at the back, i'd much rather see him at least on the bench so if our cowboys (Sinco and Taggs) are having a bad day, we can throw him on and make an impact.

Paul Brooker has surprised me I thought he would be more involved, Adams and Coppell both said he has some great skills and would be ideal to throw on with 20 mins to go when defences are getting tired and get him to run at them. The premiership won't know who he is, so that will work in our favour.

Get this O'Grady on the wing, Petrescu and Wright battling for a starting place up front alongside Bent and Dickov. I honestly believe they will get a chance very soon, if things carry on.

Oh I do agree about Petrescu/Wright. I do feel they should be competing for a starting place, and I have a feeling Wright would have been when he got back from loan had he not got injured.

Even if Wright was fit, I couldn't see him challenging for a first team spot. I think the likes of Dickov, Bent, Ferdinand and Scowie are ahead of him in terms of a starting spot. Even Brian Deane. :x

Its the sort of thing Taylor did, bought some crap - Junior Lewis, that he'd had at every club he'd been at, tried playing in premiership and it just didnt work

Please don't associate Paul Brooker, or any footballer on the face of the planet, with that bandy-leeged, free-loading, waste of space...

FCUK OFF TO SWINDON AND GET A TERMINAL ILLNESS YOU TOSSER

Come on, that's a bit harsh. it's not his fault taylor bought him. He's never done anything wrong, apart from be crap, but he never claimed to be good. WOuld you quit your job if you were getting £15k a week to do nothing? I dont think so! :)

I'm sure he loves you too.

Why do people feel this way about Lewis?

It's not his fault he's out of his depth, it's t*ylor's fault.

And you can't blame him for not leaving for somwhere like Swindon, he'd probably have to take a wage cut of 80% or more, I don't think anyone here would be prepared to do that so why should footballers be any different.

Didn't see your reply until after I posted mine because I spent about 10 minutes typing it!
