anyone who thinks we deserbe top 6 isnt in the real world, most competitive I seen this league for a decade, with more then half the league expecting top 6 there are going to be a lot of dissapoitned teams. Craig is realistic in saying just better then last season.

For me, any would-be pundits writing off our chances following a trip to Sheff Utd is also not of the sane of mind.

A long long way to go.

Looking at the latest scores it looks as though there is one thing I can guarantee you all come Tuesday 10 pm....we won't be in a lower league position:icon_sad:

I tell you - I'd b a lot more concerned if we had lost at home to Plymouth today...

All that. But I just don't know what basis there is for suggesting that we have a squad capable of getting promotion.

There is some quality there, but its a fairly small squad and a few injuries and suspensions will expose significant weaknesses. Also we won't score more than an average number of goals.

It seems to me that CL is very anxious to limit our expectations and is trying to instill a bit of realism.

I wouldn't draw to much from to-day's result - except it suggests that we are no super side in this division. If we finish in the top half we will have done well. If, we are not gelling by the end of October, I think we might struggle to stay out of trouble.

After allowing myself time to reflect upon our display and result (and those of our rivals) I agree with Alex in that we shouldn't be written off because of yesterday. For 80 minutes, we WERE the better side - but individual mistakes (Douglas, the Ref!) cost us dearly once again. Norwich, Soton, Palace, Wolves - none of them got off to a flying start did they............

Agree totally we looked a very good side for 80 minutes, against a side who will be in the promotion shake up, I am not concerned at all, it was a false result which never reflected the actual game, also I would be more concerned if I were a Palace, Norwich or Reading fan, who all lost points at home to against opposition they were supposed to steamroller.
