"Leicester City joins the likes of Newcastle United and newly-promoted Reading among PUMA's UK-based partners.

"The Foxes' brand new 2012/13 kits, the first to be designed under the new partnership, will be revealed during the summer months."

"the first to be designed under the new partnership"

Are we actually going to get a bespoke design? Nice.

Looks like Twitter's wanking all over Bert for getting this right months ago!

I'm pretty sure someone else said this before him and he just parroted it and is now taking all the credit. What a tw@t.

Is there any credit to be had from knowing which manufacturer will be making the kit?

No, none at all. There is, however, for predicting the shirt sponsor. My tenner's on Office Depot.

Jesus Christ, if you don't like what Bert tweets don't follow him, simple. Posting comments like the above just make you sound envious rather than anything else.

On the actual topic though, good move by the owners as it is about time we had a reputable supplier! Should pay dividends really as people are fickle enough to buy into a brand name so will sell more and hopefully they are made properly this time too so we don't have to give as many, if not more, than what we actually sold away in replacements due to piss poor manufacturing and QC.

Looking forward to seeing the new kit design - can't wait

This is great news. Everybody knows that Puma use a better quality of sweatshop to other manufacturers and the kids that put them together are younger on average. Which is excellent because their smaller fingers mean they can do much more delicate work.

Do people actually think Puma are sponsoring city kits rather than selling kits to city?

Didnt Puma used to sponsor the sheep shaggers?

Yes - they were shirt sponsors from 1995 to 1998. They also supplied the shirts from 1995 to 2001.

Does anyone actually know either way? Didn't think so.

The club statement says that Puma will be supplying the shirts and other items of kit. It is silent of sponsorship.
