It's a nightmare this IMO. He can do a job, I believe, in actual fact I think he could be far better than Leroy Lita, however a striker we are paying a huge weekly wage for hates the club. I would like to know why this is, as having him stay could be damaging, which is ridiculous.

He hates the club because when he was brought in Martin Allen saw him as the great striker and treated Matty Fryatt abominably. When Martin Allen was sacked Frank Burrows, Gary Megson , Ian Holloway and Nigel Pearson all thought Matty was the better player. No doubt DJ believes that he is better than Matty - though he is the only one who does.

It is human nature to blame everyone but yourself and so DJ may well see his being left out of the team as a conspiracy by Burrows, Megson, Holloway and Pearson.

While I would always prefer Matty Fryatt to Campbell I don't think he is without talent. He needs a new start and a new attitude

DJ played two fewer games than Matty that season.

I agree with Alex...in regards to tits...and in regards to DJ...it's just a bad situation, and I'm starting to suspect Pearson can't recruit until we can offload Campbell somehow.

I don't think that can be true. If we'd bid for Cox and Wellens at the same time (I'm sure the speculation overlapped) then we've got more money to spend.
